Nairobi’s iconic hotel, Fairmont the Norfolk, has reopened its doors to the public.

Mr. Mehdi Morad, the Country General Manager at Accor Kenya, delivered the good news noting that the hotel is ready to welcome both local and global guests to experience the most unique and breathtaking journey at Fairmont The Norfolk, in the heart of Nairobi city center.

“The hotel and Accor regional team have worked closely together to ensure they provide the guests with exceptional services and facilities in line with the luxe positioning of the Fairmont brand including a new Food & Beverage concept in order to meet with customers evolving needs,” said Mr. Morad.

Together the teams worked on the redesign of the lounge, bar, and restaurant with bright and elegant finishes as well as on an exciting culinary experience to offer the most modern, elegant, and diverse tantalizing options, combined with the historic venue and its iconic lush garden in the heart of the city.

The hotel’s new Food & Beverage offering and its unique gardens make it special for a place like Fairmont the Norfolk in the heart of Nairobi. It aims to be the ultimate lifestyle haven to chill, celebrate, meet and share memories. All these for lunch, dinner, and after-work meetings with friends.

In addition to its new design, the new Cin Cin cocktail bar, with its wide windows opening in the garden, will offer a selection of signature cocktails. The Garden Restaurant will introduce a new creative « à la carte menu » combining inspirations from around the world and local ingredients. Furthermore, The Tatu restaurant, which will have a dedicated relaunch in June, will celebrate the talent and creativity of renowned Chef Aris.

Besides top-notch service and lush nature in the city center of Nairobi, the guests will now find Fairmont The Norfolk, a place dedicated to relaxation, socializing, and celebrating, in a modern, iconic, and fashionable venue. The Hotel’s Spa will also be ready in 3 weeks to suit the new direction.

Fairmont the Norfolk is also renowned for its corporate, executive leadership in the industry and the reopening for operations combines the “business with leisure” offering that encourages more extended hotel stays. This is a relief to many customers who had gotten used to a taste of sophisticated retreat within the city in the Sun and the addition of leisure and relaxation.

As the hotel reopens, Mr. Morad has assured guests of their safety and convenience. “Rest assured that the safety of our guests and employees is our first priority, and our team will continue to follow official recommendations and guidelines from the local authorities.”

“Looking forward to making Fairmont The Norfolk the place-to-be for social moments, business meetings, and intimate events. We remain the most historical venue with its unique lush garden with a flair of creativity and modernity.” Reiterated Mr. Morad who is an innovative visionary and a lover of nature.

The notable landmark dating back to 1904 has often played a pivotal role in Kenya’s historical legacy, notably as the town and the modern city of Nairobi grew around the property.

The hotel has often been described as a hidden gem with alluring charm and elegant contemporary design that offers guests a feeling of relaxation, a sense of belonging, and ownership that is ideal for meetings, chilling, partying, and an exceptional culinary experience.

Fairmont the Norfolk is the second property under the Fairmont Kenya umbrella to reopen and paves way for the Fairmont Mount Kenya reopening that is set to take place in June.

For well over a century, Fairmont Hotels have been the place to be, the hearts of their communities, the places where milestones are celebrated and where history is made. The Norfolk is part of the Fairmont Collection, together with Mount Kenya and Mara.
