More than 100 entrepreneurs have graduated from the entrepreneurial school of Sinapis in a colorful ceremony that is ongoing at Panari Hotel in Nairobi.

Sinapis, whose mission is to empower aspiring entrepreneurs in the developing world with innovative, scalable business ideas by providing them with rigorous Christ-centered business education, world-class consulting and mentoring services, and access to seed capital, has been in Kenya and has helped economically empower hundreds of both established and upcoming entrepreneurs.

According to the Chief Operating Officer at Sinapis, Mathew Rohrs, Sinapis has been able to create more than 1,500 direct jobs while creating thousands of others indirectly with most of their graduands in the previous classes reporting amazing successes in their businesses.

“In business, it is not how much you have but what you are willing to do with that much you have,” said Grace Mwangi, the Founder for

Sinapis operates on the principle of incorporating one’s spiritual life into the business. “You can still be in business and still be a Christian,” said Fridah Owinga, the C.E.O Passion Profit.

During the graduation, one entrepreneur is set to walk home with 1,000,000 Kenyan shillings as price money for the Business Plan Competition from Sinapis. Last year, Grace Murugi of pocketed the much-coveted 1,000,000 price money after her business plan emerged the best.

“Being able to put down my ideas into actionable steps really made the difference between the goals being met and them just remaining ‘ideas’. Business education in Kenya is so theoretical and all about passing tests. With Sinapis, you work on YOUR business,” said Christine Otieno, a Sinapis Entrepreneur.
